Your journey begins with an initial assessment lasting up to 60 minutes, during which we’ll create a tailored management plan and recommend suitable treatments, which may include ZEST®, NuLids PRO or Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) expression. This booklet explains the ZEST® treatment and answers common questions to help you understand and manage your symptoms. For the best possible results, please follow our advice and attend all recommended eye examinations and follow-up appointments, even if your eyes feel fine. ZEST Treatment

Why ZEST ® ?

Dry eye occurs when our eyes do not produce enough tears or the quality of our tears is poor, causing soreness, redness, itching and discomfort when wearing contact lenses. Tears help keep our eyes moisturised and wash away dirt, debris and bacteria, while our eyelids act like windscreen wipers to keep the eye surface clean. When this natural cleansing process is disrupted, debris can build up along the eyelids, blocking the oil glands and allowing bacteria and tiny mites (Demodex) to thrive. ZEST® treatment can help manage conditions such as Dry Eye Disease, Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), blepharitis, Demodex infestations and inflammation.

NuLids PRO Treatment

How will NuLids PRO help my eyelids?

NuLids PRO is a 5–10-minute treatment that gently exfoliates the eyelid edges to remove debris and improve eye comfort. The procedure should not be painful, although results may vary depending on your condition. Your Dry Eye Practitioner will recommend a personalised aftercare routine and advise whether repeat treatments, warm compresses, eyelid hygiene and lubricating eye drops may help maintain results.
